Patches & Petals was founded in 2017 by two lifelong friends. Aysel, the fashion-obsessed one who spent over ten years working for luxury designer brands in Miami, and Chelsi, a new mom to Kennedy Grace with spare time and love for fashion herself.
When Kennedy’s first birthday came around, Aysel was presented with a dilemma. What to get the little girl who has everything? Everything she found off the rack seemed impersonal and inadequate, so she decided to take matters into her own hands and create a custom denim jacket with all of Kennedy’s favorite things. It was an absolute hit, and both Chelsi and Aysel were thrilled with how much Kennedy loved her personalized jacket. They decided to share this joy with others, and Patches & Petals was born.
What started out as a small project making jackets for family members and friends’ children in Aysel’s Miami apartment has evolved into Patches & Petals as it exists today – making custom jackets – still handmade true to our roots – for girls and boys of all ages all over the world.
